Road safety is something that should never be taken lightely. The number of tragic accidents that occur on our roads on a yearly basis is increasing each year, and even with the help of the government and police, people are still forgetting to put in place simple prodcedures which could save a life. Being in the car business, we are very aware of the implications that can arise if people are not acting responsibly while driving. We feel as though we hold a responsibility to ensure that we are informing all of our customers on the safety levels of the car they are interested in before they purchase it, however the rest is up to them.

Our responsibility for road safety starts from the minute we get the car in stock, it is up to us to test it and make sure it is road worthy and legal before we put it on the market. If there are any faulty parts to the vehicle, which is not uncommon when buying used cars - we have the responsibility to fix these issues before the car is displayed for sale. When a car is sold, we then test it once again, just to be sure. From this point on, it is up to the customer to ensure he or she follows up on their safety when driving the vehicle. Car safety does not only stem from behaviour when driving, such as - texting and driving

- drink driving

- driving while tired

Although these forms of behaviour all have great influence on road safety, and should never be abused, it is important to look at other elements specific to the car also.

Such as:

- seat belt strength and quality

- air bag positioning

- mirror positioning

- child locks

- music volume

- battery quality

- engine lifespan and quality

- make sure your lights are working and correctly positioned

+ many more

By taking these things into consideration, you will have a lot higher chance of staying safe on the road! Below is diagram which outlines some basic safety tips :) We can only do so much, the rest is up to you! STAY SAFE EVERYONE!
